A GARDEN OF SMOCKING DESIGNS Initiated in 1982 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada by owner and creator Kathleen Copeland-Nyberg. Kathleen is a well known needle woman and teacher of smocking and heirloom sewing. Kathleen currently resides in Cirencester, England where she continues to teach and promote needle arts. Most of her patterns and smocking designs have evolved from class projects in her shop or with groups and guilds. The patterns are very basic and easy to construct. All patterns contain either smocking, fine heirloom sewing, embroidery or shadow work designs.
